1313 Insuranceunderwriters
综述---新新源移民：
保险承保人，审核和评估保险申请，依据公司政策，确定保险风险、保险费用和保险覆盖范围。保险承保人受雇于保险公司的总部或分公司办公室。
Insuranceunderwriters review and evaluate insurance applications to determine insurancerisks, insurance premiums and extent of insurance coverage according to companypolicies. Insurance underwriters are employed at head and branch offices ofinsurance companies.

--审核个人或群体的汽车、火灾、健康、债务、生命、财产、海运、飞机和其他保险；
--评估新的和续费的保险申请，利用医疗报告、费率表和其他文件和参考资料，确定保险风险、保险费用、保险覆盖范围和保险合同的其他条件，并对保费、覆盖范围或风险进行调整，适应新的或续费的申请；（新新源移民）
--核准保险销售政策，确保遵循政府规定；
--提供个人或全体保险规划设计提供建议；
--提供承保意见和回复客户和保险代理、顾问和其他公司人员的咨询；
--准备保险承保报告，更新保险表格；
Main duties
Insurance underwriters perform some or all of the following duties:
Reviewindividual and group applications for automobile, fire, health, liability,life, property, marine, aircraft and other insurance
Evaluatenew and renewal applications to determine insurance risks, insurance premiums,extent of insurance coverage and other conditions of the insurance contractusing medical reports, rate tables and other documents and reference materials;adjust premiums, coverage or risk itself to make acceptance of new and renewalapplications possible
Approvesale of insurance policies and ensure compliance with government regulations
Providerecommendations on individual or group insurance plan designs
Provideunderwriting advice and answer inquiries from clients and from insuranceagents, consultants and other company personnel
Prepareunderwriting reports and update insurance forms when necessary.

Completionof secondary school and some general insurance experience
or
A bachelor's degree, college diploma or some post-secondary education isrequired.
Severalyears of on-the-job training and completion of insurance industry underwritingcourses and training programs are required.
Additionalinformation
Progressionto management positions in the insurance industry is possible with experience.
Completionof educational programs through the Insurance Institute of Canada or itsprovincial counterparts entitles insurance underwriters to professionalrecognition as a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and, with additionaluniversity courses, as a Fellow, Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP).
