Universityprofessors and lecturers teach courses to undergraduate and graduate studentsand conduct research at universities. University professors who are heads ofdepartments are included in this unit group.

--对本科生和研究生进行一门或一门以上课程的授课工作；

--对学生的考试、实验室作业和报告进行相关准备、管理和评分工作；
--对学生的课程和学术问题、职业选择进行指导和建议；
--管理研究生的研究项目，并就研究相关问题进行指导；
--进行专业领域研究工作，并就研究成果发表在学术期刊和书籍上；
--可能在院系相关委员会工作，处理诸如课程规划、学位要求等问题，并担当各种行政职责；
--可能代表他们的大学作为发言人和客座讲师；
--可能为政府、行业和私人提供专业的咨询服务；
大学教授和讲师可能专业于诸如生物、化学、解剖学、社会科学、商业、行政管理和法律；
University professors and lecturers perform some or all of the followingduties:
Teachone or more university subjects to undergraduate and graduate students
Prepareand deliver lectures to students and conduct laboratory sessions or discussiongroups
Prepare,administer and grade examinations, laboratory assignments and reports
Advisestudents on course and academic matters and career decisions
Directresearch programs of graduate students and advise on research matters
Conductresearch in field of specialization and publish findings in scholarly journalsor books
Mayserve on faculty committees dealing with such matters as curriculum planningand degree requirements, and perform a variety of administrative duties
Mayrepresent their universities as speakers and guest lecturers
Mayprovide professional consultative services to government, industry and privateindividuals.
University professors and lecturers specialize in a particular subject mattersuch as biology, chemistry, anatomy, sociology, business administration or law.
