Thisunit group includes workers who administer pre-hospital emergency medical careto patients with injuries or medical illnesses and transport them to hospitalsor other medical facilities for further medical care. They are employed byprivate ambulance services, hospitals, fire departments, government departmentsand agencies, manufacturing firms, mining companies and other private sectorestablishments. Paramedics who are supervisors are included in this unit group.

主要岗位职责-Mainduties-新新源移民

--评估创伤患者、呼吸和血压病人、药物过量和中毒患者、工业事故受害者和其他疾病或受伤个人等的疾病和受伤的范围，确定急救处理措施；

--对患者给予医院前的紧急护理，比如氧气治疗、心肺复苏、脊椎固定、绑带包扎、夹板固定；

Mainduties

Workers in this unit group perform some or all of the following duties:

Assessextent of injuries or medical illnesses of trauma victims, patients withrespiratory disease and stress, overdose and poisoning victims, industrialaccident victims and other ill or injured individuals to determine emergencymedical treatment

Administerpre-hospital emergency care to patients such as oxygen therapy, cardiopulmonaryresuscitation (CPR), spinal immobilization, bandaging and splinting

Establishand maintain intravenous treatment (IV), apply adjunctive equipment for ventilationand circulation complications, administer medications and provide otheradvanced emergency treatment to patients

Transportpatients by air, land or water to hospital or other medical facility forfurther medical care

Collaboratewith ambulance dispatch centres, hospital staff, police, firefighters andfamily members to ensure relevant information is collected and proper treatmentis administered

Documentand record nature of injuries and illnesses and treatment provided

Assisthospital personnel with provision of medical treatment, if necessary

Maintainambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies

Maytrain and supervise other workers in this unit group

Mayassist with triage of emergency patients.
